Acoterr: the showcase for small rural producers connecting the countryside and the city

Acoterr is a project created by students from the** University of A Coruña (Spain)** with a clear mission: to give visibility to small rural producers and connect their food with urban consumers seeking healthy, sustainable and locally sourced products.
The idea emerged after identifying a recurring problem: local farmers and artisans dedicate months of work to their crops or creations, but** rarely receive a fair price** due to the chain of intermediaries. Acoterr seeks to solve this disconnect between countryside and city through a digital showcase that promotes local consumption, traceability and economic fairness for producers.

The aim of the crowdfunding campaign, for which they have received training and support from Santander X Explorer, is to raise funds to launch the web platform and enable the first producers to join, ensuring they can sell with no fixed costs and only a small commission per sale. Thanks to the people who donate to our campaign, producers will gain greater visibility, rural food will reach more people, and we will also contribute to reforesting Spain. https://crowdfunding.explorerbyx.org/acoterr/5085
