Yes, we are hosting another TalkX with Brian Brackeen, General Partner at Lightship Capital: if you attended the last one, you know why we’re looking forward to having him back as our guest. If you missed it, don’t make the same mistake this time!

Remember our previous TalkX with Brian Brackeen? The General Partner of Lightship Capital — an American Midwest company dedicated to supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs —  is back at Explorer: you can watch his talk, as always, on our Twitch channel on Thursday, November 3rd, at 8 p.m. in Spain (click here to find out your local time).

Brian, friendly as a few others, shared with us his optimism and inspired us with his advice in his previous TalkX. If you missed it, access the link, we have left above. And if you want to get to know a very, very special entrepreneur a little better, take a look at these facts:

    1. As a general partner at Lightship Capital, Brian Brackeen oversees fund operations, leads the Artificial Intelligence Development department, and sits on the Investment committee.

    2. Before his current firm, he founded the innovative facial recognition system Kairos, based in Miami. Under his leadership, the Wall Street Journal named the company as one of the top 25 startups in the United States, standing out as one of the most advanced facial recognition software providers in the world — alongside technology giants such as Microsoft.

    3. Kairos has processed around one billion faces and has secured investments worth more than $15 million.

    4. With Brian at the helm, Kairos took a stand against the government’s use of facial recognition and worked to eliminate racial bias in its datasets.

    5. Before founding Kairos, Brian worked as a senior project manager at Apple and a senior lead consultant at IBM.

    6. In addition to his current work at Lightship, he speaks worldwide on entrepreneurship, coding, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

    7. He is also involved in mentoring programmes for various organisations, including Girls Who Code, Black Girls Code, and the Miami school district.

Following the TalkX, Brian will continue talking to selected Explorers, who will have the chance to ask him questions in a private Q&A session. If you have any questions, remember you can post them in the chat on our Twitch channel for our guest to answer live - don’t miss out!

And if, after such a dose of energy, you want to test the validation of your business idea without risking anything, join Explorer now!
