We have just completed a new edition of Santander X Explorer, and that means 15 new projects have been selected to receive crowdfunding training. After presenting their ideas at the Explorer Pitch Weekend, the final activity of the programme where participants put what they have learned into practice, the jury has selected the following:
AGROSPAI (Universitat de Lleida, Spain). A hub for agri-food references that enables the sharing of data and AI services with sovereignty and privacy.
CUIDARE (Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Brazil). A project created to facilitate access to health information and therapeutic resources for women after pregnancy loss, supporting both physical and mental recovery through appropriate guidance.
CYBERPLANT (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia). Daily technological overload disconnects people from nature and human relationships. This device aims to foster personal development across multiple areas, including connection to reality, emotional stability and productivity. It combines AI with nature as a source of reconnection.
DO NEGATIVO AO POSITIVO (Universidade do Vale do Itajaí, Brazil). As project lead Márcio Gomes explains, “While walking along the beach, I realised that every piece of wood brought in by the sea held a story. By collecting them, I wasn’t just cleaning the environment, I was beginning a journey that would transform my life and the lives of others. That is precisely the foundation of this project, transforming lives.”
GAMIFIED THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE WITH AN EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT FOR TELEREHABILITATION IN PEOPLE WITH HEREDITARY ATAXIA (Universitat de Lleida, Spain). A project that supports people with this neurodegenerative genetic condition affecting the central nervous system, addressing mobility and accessibility barriers that limit access to conventional programmes.
HEALTH ENERGI (Universidad de San Martín de Porres, Peru). A healthy snack free from preservatives and sweetened with dates, designed to provide instant energy in every bite.
INSPIRA ID (Universidade do Vale do Itajaí, Brazil). An accessible and innovative digital platform that educates, inspires and guides women to use their image as a tool for self-awareness, positioning and personal fulfilment.
KÈFRUSH (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Tayacaja Daniel Hernández Morillo, Peru). A fermented beverage made from water kefir, Peruvian fruits and natural superfoods, designed to improve digestive health, boost daily energy and enhance overall wellbeing.
LA TETÈ (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú). A marketplace focused on maternity and early childhood, helping mothers easily find the products they need. It prioritises new products from local businesses and vulnerable communities linked to NGOs, while also allowing mothers to sell unused items.
MINDHAVEN (University of Middlesex, United Kingdom). An inclusive digital platform designed to support autistic individuals, people with specific learning difficulties and those with neurodivergent or mental health needs. It helps them or their carers find and book suitable activities, events or calm environments.
NAILTTOO (Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, Spain). A key clinical challenge in treating nail conditions is low drug permeability. This project proposes a tattoo needle that creates controlled microchannels, allowing medication to penetrate directly into the nail without causing damage.
NUWÁ TOK TOK (Universidad de San Martín de Porres, Peru). A sustainable and innovative lamp powered by salt water, providing clean light in areas with limited resources while reducing reliance on fossil fuels and batteries.
TACTISENSE AI (Universidad La Salle, Mexico). A global football analytics platform integrating AI, computer vision and tactical logic. It provides data-driven strategic recommendations for coaches and management, improving decision-making during matches.
TEMOTIVA (Universitat de València, Spain). A digital application that promotes emotional wellbeing and helps users identify, regulate and strengthen emotional balance in everyday life.
TÚYTÚ (Universidad de Alicante, Spain). A cybersecurity startup that protects personal photos from deepfakes and abusive uses of AI.
These 15 ideas, together with the 15 selected in the previous edition, will receive crowdfunding training. From these 30 projects, 20 will later be chosen to launch their own campaigns using this funding method.
