Pintu (Peru, BAU – Barcelona), one of the ideas selected to receive support from Santander X Explorer, has launched its crowdfunding campaign.
This project aims to reduce the gender gap and the environmental pollution caused by the textile industry through sustainable fashion garments crafted by artisan mothers from Cusco (Peru). The initiative not only promotes fair employment in rural communities but also supports the use of materials that contribute to a more environmentally responsible future.
“With Pintu, we want to show that fashion can be a driver of social and environmental change. Our dream is for the talent of Cusco’s craftswomen to be recognised internationally and for every garment to represent a story of empowerment and sustainability,” explains team member Ivana Tremolada.
