Reganvi: the “marketplace” for recycled materials

The recycling sector in Peru is complicated. On one hand, there are many entities or individuals dedicated to collecting materials, but they lack the appropriate tools to sell them in an organized and profitable way. On the other hand, industries increasingly need a greater volume of recycled components for their activities, but they find it difficult to access suppliers on a continuous basis. This leads to 65% of the plastic used being imported.

Aware of this situation, Reganvi (University of Engineering and Technology, Peru) was born, a B2B digital platform that efficiently connects suppliers and buyers of recyclable materials. This project, one of the 20 chosen by a global jury to launch its crowdfunding campaign with the support of Santander X Explorer, aims to “facilitate the connection between supply and demand in an inclusive, efficient, and sustainable way“, thus promoting the circular economy.

Through the Santander X Explorer program, we discovered our vocation for creating sustainable solutions by leveraging our multidisciplinary skills,” say the responsible individuals at Reganvi. Now, their goal is to raise the necessary resources to take their idea to the next phase: developers, designers, promotion… There are many ways you can collaborate with their campaign!
