Local Vibes Experience launches its crowdfunding campaign to connect hotel receptions with local activity providers

“Receptionists waste a great deal of time managing bookings in a slow and tedious way,” say the team at Local Vibes Experience. That’s why they have created a proposal that connects hotel receptions with local providers, making it easier for travellers to discover authentic experiences. “We want booking activities to be as easy as enjoying them,” they add.

Local Vibes Experience, a project from the University of Cádiz (Spain), is one of the ideas selected to receive support from Santander X Explorer in a crowdfunding campaign that has just been launched. The project emerged after seeing how receptionists lose time on manual reservations and how small local providers are often excluded. “Our platform connects both sides to speed up bookings and offer local experiences,” they explain.

Local Vibes simplifies bookings, improves guest service, and gives visibility to local entrepreneurs. It also motivates hotel staff by recognising their role as ambassadors of local experiences. We are committed to a more agile, human form of tourism that is connected to its surroundings, contributing to SDG 8 by supporting small businesses and freelancers in the tourism sector.

The aim of our campaign is to make this tool a reality. To achieve it, we are looking for hotels, providers, and professionals who would like to join as beta testers or collaborators in key areas (web development, design, communication…). Will you join us in transforming the way we travel?

“We want to reach hotels and activities across the province of Cádiz, creating a living network of local experiences that fosters authentic tourism and stimulates the economy of our territory,” explains Ana Cristina González, a member of the team.
