Mirarte, a project born in Peru with the support of the Pontifical Catholic University and selected by a global jury in Santander X Explorer, is launching its crowdfunding campaign with a clear mission: to rescue, preserve, and share the ancestral techniques of elder artisans.
Behind every master of the silver generation lies a story, a technique, a legacy at risk of being lost. Many of them, despite their invaluable knowledge, live in oblivion—without spaces to teach, and without an income that truly values their art. Mirarte seeks to change this reality by creating a platform of virtual, semi-presential, and in-person courses that provide visibility, voice, and a dignified source of income.
This campaign is the first step: it aims to** finance the production of the pilot course,** recorded with professional quality alongside a master artisan; to validate the experience with real users; and to build a sustainable model from the very beginning.
“My connection with ancestral art was born alongside my father, carving queñual wood in Moquegua. That experience taught me to see the value of our roots. Today, I want the legacy of our elders not to fade, but to flourish,” shares Patricia Salas, co-founder of the project.
Mirarte not only preserves art, it brings it to life. And you can be part of this change.
Discover their campaign, learn their stories, and join those who want ancestral memory to keep teaching with every stroke and every thread.
