The educational games project LUDIS, created by members of the Integrative and Systemic Biology Laboratory (LaBIS) at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), is one of the 20 projects selected by the Santander X Explorer programme and is now launching its crowdfunding campaign.

LUDIS is an innovative company whose mission is to transform education by integrating board games with solid pedagogical foundations. “Our aim is to provide educational solutions that capture students’ attention and promote deep and meaningful learning.”

Our goal is to transform education through board games that encourage active learning, collaboration, and the development of essential 21st-century skills. We believe education can be both fun and effective, and we are committed to creating engaging learning experiences that spark curiosity and a love for knowledge in young people of all ages,” says Murilo Meneghetti, a PhD student at LaBIS and one of the founders of LUDIS.

We value innovation, creativity, and a passion for teaching. Our games are designed with a commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and accessibility, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn and grow. We believe in the transformative power of games and work to make a difference in the lives of students, teachers, and communities, always with ethics, responsibility, and dedication,” says Fábio Patroni, a PhD student at LaBIS and co-founder of LUDIS.

The traditional learning model is facing challenges with the new generation. Methods based on brochures, lectures and 45-minute lessons on the same topic can be tiring and dispersing. We want to introduce games as educational alternatives that keep attention while teaching,” adds Felipe Eduardo Ciamponi, a Unicamp alumni, current innovation researcher at Suzano and also co-founder of LUDIS.

The LUDIS crowdfunding campaign is ready and available to receive contributions. “We want to raise funds to cover the production materials for our games. We’re also seeking human resources to develop games in other areas of knowledge,” explains Meneghetti.

Now, more than ever, they need your support to bring this vision to life. “By contributing to our crowdfunding campaign, you’ll be helping to bring more engaging and effective education to students across the country. Join us in our mission to transform learning and create a future where knowledge is achieved in a fun and meaningful way. Your participation makes all the difference!“.
